Happy Birthday Daniel!

We celebrated Daniel's third birthday Saturday with a "Speed Racer" party. He originally asked for a Prince Philip party, then Spiderman, then Go, Diego, Go, and I think there were a few others. I had to put my foot down once we bought the Speed Racer plates!
The race track cake - this one only had me up until 11:30
the night before, a big improvement compared to
some of the other birthday cakes I've done.He smiled like this the whole time we sang Happy Birthday. Don't ask why he's wearing a Cinderella dress
(actually anyone who knows Daniel shouldn't be surprised!) Of course, he's already planning next year's party!

Cousin Time

Olivia and Daniel got to play with Emmanuel last weekend. He really liked their slide! We are all so glad that he, Uncle Tristaan, and Tia Maria are going to be here for a while!
Olivia, Emmanuel, Jaylin and Daniel, all in the sandbox. Good thing Eleanor isn't big enough to play yet - we couldn't
possibly fit one more in!

Eleanor at 8 Weeks Old

I haven't been able to get a good smiling picture yet, hopefully I'll have one to post soon. The jury's still out on who she looks more like, Olivia or Daniel. Personally I think she just looks like Eleanor now.

First Day of School - September 2nd

Here's Olivia headed off to her first day of Kindergarten. She was really excited, and only a little bit nervous. Dan was on vacation for the week so all five of us walked to school that morning. I can't believe my baby is in real school!
Here she is in line with her class, ready to go into the building.
So far Kindergarten is going great!

Peach Picking at Tougas Farm

We went peach picking over Labor Day Weekend. We brought home about 25 pounds of peaches in a box, and probably another 25 pounds in our bellies. Here's Daniel, enjoying the juicy goodness of a fresh picked peach: Looking for just the right one ...
Peach Pickers Extroadinaire!
I don't think Daniel actually put any in the box!
Mutant Peach
Eleanor was so jealous she didn't get to try a peach! Olivia posing as a peach tree

Eleanor's First Bath

She's not sure what to make of it!

The crying started right after this shot . . .

and continued . . .

until she was dry and dressed again.

My trusty assistant Daniel

He was really disappointed I didn't let him rinse Eleanor with the sprayer!

The Many Faces of Eleanor

Eleanor at 3 weeks old

Gibby's Babies

Eleanor loved her first Gibby's experience! Well, she slept through the part where we all ate ice cream, but did wake up in time for a picture and some dairy of her own before we headed home. She'll like it even more next summer! Here's Olivia on her first trip to Gibby's And Daniel his first time

Can you tell we like ice cream?

Moore State Park

Dan took Olivia and Daniel on a nature walk to Moore State Park
one day while Eleanor and I slept. They loved the waterfall!
Olivia took this picture of Daddy and Daniel. Future photographer?
And of course, a stick fight was required.
I'm surprised Daniel got this close to water and came home dry!
Same goes for Olivia - those lily pads look so tempting!
They actually saw a lot of "nature things" including this
snapping turtle that was sitting on the path.
